Tourism Minister Marsha Henderson Represents St. Kitts at CTO Review Meeting

Minister of Tourism, Marsha T. Henderson represented St. Kitts and Nevis as a member of the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s (CTO’s) Constitutional Review Committee. The CTO shared the news of the meeting online on their official social media handle today (July 15) 2026.

The meeting was led by Saint Martin’s Minister of Tourism & Culture Valerie Damaseau. The main objective of the meeting was to examine and review the CTO’s governing documents and make sure that they remain clear, accurate and relevant in guiding the organization’s policies and practices.

Additionally, several officials across the Caribbean region were present in person and virtually for the CTO’s Constitutional Review Committee. In person the meeting was attended by Neil Walters, CTO Director of Finance and Resource Management, Dona Regis-Prosper MBA CPM CST, Secretary-General & CEO of CTO. From the Caribbean region Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Charles Fernandez, Minister of Tourism Anguilla Cardigon Connor and Director of Tourism Anguilla, Jameel Rochester.

Moreover, Andrea Franklin, Chairman of the CTO Board of Directors and CEO of Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. and CTO’s legal counsel, joined the meeting virtually. The meeting was held on Monday July 13, 2026 at the Marigot in Saint Martin. Officials also engaged in comprehensive debate which was regarding the essential matters including membership, rights and responsibilities in the organization.

Notably, this month CTO organization also hosted the Caribbean Week in New York from June 1 to 6, 2026. During the week CTO organized several events regarding tourism including a marketing conference, media marketplace, and Nex-Gen Tourism showcase.

In the Caribbean week the organization also launched the “CTO Tourism Supply Side Committee” on Saturday June 4, 2026. The main aim of the committee is to ensure that tourism revenue stays within the Caribbean as it helps in strengthening the links between local business and tourism industry.

This year the organization is working on the Tourism Human Capital Development Project which is expected to run throughout 2026. The project is funded by the Caribbean Development Bank to strengthen workforce development, tourism skills and MSMEs across the Caribbean region.
