Conaree Residents Engage Government on Proposed Health Centre 

Residents of Conaree and surrounding communities attended the Community consultation hosted for discussing the proposal for the Conaree Health Centre. The people of the island turned out to the meeting in large numbers. The consultation meeting was hosted on August 6, 2026 at the community center in Conaree.

Tbe authorities have confirmed that this was a very successful Community Consultation as the people were able to give their honest opinion on the proposed Conaree Health Centre.

The consultation meeting was proof that the members of the community have remained actively involved in the future of healthcare delivery in the area.

The meeting was also attended by healthcare stakeholders and officers as well as high level members of the Ministry of Health. The officials have shared that Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew was also part of the consultation meeting.

He was present as both the Minister of Health and the parliamentary representative for Constituency 8, which Conaree is a part of.

The consultation provided an opportunity for residents to learn more about the proposed project in details. The people of the community were also able to ask questions, share their perspectives, and offer valuable feedback.

The administration has shared that this will help shape the delivery of public healthcare services in their communities. The Minister of Health took the opportunity to speak in detail about the project and keep the people of the island in the loop about all the facts.

Attendees heard presentations from the Prime Minister and Minister of Health, Dr. Terrance Drew. The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Curtis Martin; and Director of Health Projects and Strategic Initiatives, Dr. Jenson Morton also spoke at the event. They outlined the vision for the new health centre and the Government’s commitment to strengthening primary healthcare across St Kitts and Nevis.
