Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew has applauded the nation’s security forces for ensuring a smooth and successful hosting of the 28th Annual Music Festival. Dr Drew convened a high level meeting with the leadership of the security forces of the country.
The meeting was hosted on Monday, in the aftermath of the conclusion of the Music Festival. During this meeting, the attendants had opportunity to review the comprehensive security operations that ensured the event was conducted safely and securely.
The leadership of the security forces informed Dr Drew about the work that was done by the various organizations.. The coordinated efforts of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, the St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force, the Coast Guard, and other supporting agencies helped in ensuring the safety of the locals as well as the tourists of the country.
The Prime Minister has extended his sincere appreciation and gratitude to the people members of the national security forces. The Prime Minister also took to his social media to share his gratitude to the men and women of the various organisations.
The officials have shared that unwavering commitment to duty, often carried out under demanding and hazardous conditions, reflects the very highest ideals of public service.
The Prime Minister also said, “The safety and well-being of our people will always be our highest priority. Every day, the men and women of our security services and emergency response agencies place themselves in harm’s way to protect lives, preserve order, and safeguard our nation,”
Dr Drew also appreciated the security services and emergency response agencies for their professionalism and dedication to the service of the people.
Talking to the organisation regarding the success of the Music Festival, Dr Drew said, The outstanding work demonstrated during the St. Kitts Music Festival is a powerful reminder that when our agencies work together, there is no challenge too great for this Federation to overcome
