
First Lady of St Kitts and Nevis Diani JImesha Prince-Drew, wife of St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister Dr. Terrance M. Drew, presented awards to deserving students of the Cayon High School. The First lady was representing her husband, the Prime Minister of the country in the presentation ceremony for the awards. She asked the members of the community to ensure that the students across the island can excel in their lives and make remarkable futures.
At the Cayon Primary School, Kaliq Thomas and Julianna Jeffers were announced as the recipients of the Honourable Dr. Terrance Drew Excellence Award in Constituency #8.
The First Lady of St Kitts and Nevis congratulated the recipients of the award for their achievements and accomplishments.
“It was my pleasure to present these awards today at the Cayon Primary School Graduation Ceremony in recognition of their excellence in academics and behaviour. Well done to you both. Wishing you every success as you continue your educational journey,” said Mrs. Prince-Drew in a social media posting.
First Lady Prince-Drew had the honour of making the presentations in the absence of Prime Minister Drew who is overseas on official business.
The officials have shared that it is important for the leadership to continue to encourage the children of the island to do well. The donations and scholarships which the Prime Minister and Parliamentary Representative makes to the Cayon Primary School have supported the school significantly. The officials have shared that the Prime Minister has been supporting the school in its operations for several years.
The first lady has also made several donations and support to the school along with the Prime Minister of the country.
The officials have shared that it is important for the people to continue to support the development of youngsters of the country from the earliest possible levels.
