Creative Power Arts Convention 2027 to Feature Machel Montano and Stephen McGregor
Samal Duggins, who serves as the Minister of Creative Economy has made an announcement regarding the Creative Power Arts Convention 2027. The officials have shared that one of the performers of the St Kitts Music Festival soca superstar Machel Montano is part of the convention.
The event is being hosted in 2027 in St. Kitts and the artist will be present as the performing arts facilitators.
Montano is also accompanied by Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum record producer, songwriter, and musician, Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor,
The Minister of Creative Economy said, “I am pleased to announce that both will serve as facilitators at the next staging of the Creative Power Arts Convention in April 2027.”
The Minister also talked about how the convention will help the growth of the creatives of the island nation. The Minister said, Their participation represents a major opportunity for creatives in St. Kitts and Nevis and across the region to learn directly from two of the most influential figures in Caribbean music and entertainment,”
“This is exactly the type of access and exposure we are committed to creating as we continue investing in our creative economy and building pathways for local talent to develop, grow, and compete at the highest levels,” he said.
The Creative Power Arts Convention is continuously evolving into a premier platform for learning, networking, mentorship, and professional development. The Minister highlighted that he is looking forward to sharing more details regarding the event during the months ahead.
“Join us April 2–10, 2027 in St. Kitts for the opportunity to learn directly from one of Jamaica’s most influential music producers as he shares his creative process, industry experience, and insights into building timeless music,” said Duggins.
He has urged the nationals of St. Kitts and Nevis, especially the youth to “stay connected to our social media channels as we continue unveiling our incredible lineup of facilitators and everything in store for Creative Power Arts Convention 2027.”
