Coach Yusuf Saunders appointed head coach at US-based Kalonji Soccer Academy
Yusuf Chadajo Saunders, a St. Kitts based professional football player, coach and certified referee has been appointed as a Head Coach of the Under-17 and Under-19 teams at Kalonji Soccer Academy (KSA) in Georgia, United Kingdom for the upcoming Major League Soccer NEXT Academy Division Season.
Saunders is widely recognised for his successful leadership at Newtown United Football Club, where he helped guide the team from the First Division back to the Premier League while improving its performances and reputation in national competitions.
His appointment as Head Coach in Kalonji Soccer Academy (KSA) reflects his continued effort in making Kittitian football recognisable on the global stage and it also contributed a milestone in his coaching career to lead an international club.
Saunders shared the news of his appointment on social media and expressed gratitude to Kalonji Soccer Academy for the opportunity to serve as Head Coach for the upcoming MLS NEXT Academy Division season.
He said, “Thank you KSA for this amazing opportunity to be head coach of the U-17 and U-19 teams for the upcoming MLS Next AD season and it’s a huge honor to represent this club and propel objectives in the right direction”.
