Public Works Department Supplies Construction Materials for Saba’s Black Rocks Harbour
Saba’s ambitious Black Rocks Harbour project is receiving weekly construction materials from the Public Works Department of St. Kitts. The initiative of sending materials by St. Kitts to Saba island is under a direct commercial supply contract and inter-island partnership agreement. The agreement was signed between St. Kitts PWD and the government of Public Entity Saba.
Officials of St. Kitts shared that the transportation of construction for Black Harbour Projects reflects a major milestone in regional inter-island infrastructure cooperation. According to reports St. Kitts PWD will supply 80,000 tonnes of boulders every week and at this speed, it will take over five to six months to complete the procedure of sending materials.
