Theme for 55th Sugar Mas Festival unveiled 

The preparation for the 55th edition of the National Carnival of St Kitts and Nevis has started with the finalization of their theme. This year, The Sugar Mas Carnival is running from December 11, 2026 to January 2, 2027.

The theme for the 2026-27 edition of the Sugar Mas Festival is “The Ultimate Vibe, it’s Sugar Mas 55”

The slogan which has been chosen for the 2026-2027 National Carnival truly embodies the atmosphere of Sugar Mas.

The winning slogan for the Carnival event was given by Kyla T Morton, who was among several other competitors asked to draft a compelling, unique slogan for the festival. The organising authorities of the National Carnival have announced that they believe this winning slogan drives home the vibe and energy of Sugar Mas.

According to the National Carnival Committee “This slogan perfectly captures the essence of Sugar Mas, reflecting the vibrant celebration, joy, and energy that this event brings to carnival lovers at home and abroad.”

The organisation has extended their sincere gratitude to the participants of the event who contributed their creative entries to the slogan competition. The organisers of the National Carnival of the country are looking forward to an exciting Sugar Mas season filled with energy, love, light and unforgettable experiences.

The winner of the slogan competition, Kyla T Morton was presented with EC $500 as a token of appreciation, She will also recieve tickets to all the National Carnival events.

This year’s Sugar Mas season takes place from December 11, 2026 to January 2, 2027. The event continues to be one of the most important national events in the history of the nation.

In its 55th year, the Carnival is expected to bring a large number of travellers to the island during the peak of the tourism season.
