Von Michael Secures Senior Leadership Role at International Criminal Court

Von Michael, National from St. Kitts and Nevis marked a major milestone in his career as he will serve as a Senior Finance and Budget Manager at the International Criminal court (ICC) in the Hague, Netherlands. The information was shared by St. Kitts and Nevis Ambassador to the United States, Jacinth Henry-Martin.

According to reports, Jacinth Henry-Martin, Permanent Representative to the Organization of American States (OAS) , is the mother of Von Michael. She announced the news in her official social media platforms along with a note. She expressed that she was proud of her son’s achievement.

She said, “ Congratulations to my first son, my pride is immeasurable, his achievements reflect not only his exceptional work ethic and professional excellence. She further explained that his success also reflects his faith in supreme power and wished his upcoming chapter life to be filled with success and congratulated her first son Von Michael.

She shared, “His success also reflects his humility and trust in the supreme provider, as he embarks on this important chapter, I wish him continued wisdom, grace, and even greater humility to crown future success, Congratulations, Von”.

Notably, the International Criminal Court (ICC) is an independent judicial and permanent body and officially established in June 1945 by the Charter of the United Nations and officially began working in April 1946. The ICC is also known as the World Court and it is the judicial organ of the United Nations.

In the International Criminal Court the purpose of the courts is to ensure that any individual does not escape from the punishment for their crime. The ICC specifically holds jurisdictions on specifically in international crimes including genocide, war crimes, crime against humanity and the crime of aggression.

Moreover, the organisation’s working style is also different from the domestic courts as they only work when the country or regional national legal system cannot handle serious international crimes.
