St. Kitts in the Spotlight 2026 program officially concluded last night on Monday, April 20, 2026. The closing ceremony was held at Palms Court Gardens in Basseterre and it reflected the success of the efforts made by the St. Kitts Tourism Authority (SKTA).
Talking about the success of the event, officials of St. Kitts Tourism Authority said that the closing event not just marks its end but it kicks off the new journey of strong collaboration and deeper market integration. The outcomes from the initiative even aligned with the vision of St Kitts on the global stage.
Kelly Fontenelle, Chief Executive Officer of St. Kitts Tourism Authority, mentioned that the initiative was designed to put the right people in the same room. The event brings together local tourism stakeholders and international tour operators.
She stated, “St. Kitts in the Spotlight was deliberately designed to put the right people in the same room. We are here to build the kind of relationships that translate into bookings, packages, and long-term market presence”.
Throughout the week, a number of business meetings were held between local tourism stakeholders and international tour operators to enhance awareness of St. Kitts as premier travel destinations. She said the initiative was designed in a strategic manner to provide positive commercial outcomes for St. Kitts including packaging, positioning and selling the destination across international markets.
Danielle Weekes, who serves as a Business Development Manager for North America at St. Kitts Tourism Authority mentioned positive outcomes of the (SKTA) during the St. Kitts in the Spotlight 2026 event. She said “What made this work was the structure. Every meeting had a purpose, every conversation was anchored in what’s commercially possible. Tour operators left with real information, real contacts, and a clearer picture of what St. Kitts offers their clients”.
St. Kitts in the Spotlight 2026 initiative was hosted and organized by the St. Kitts Tourism Authority and launched on 15 April, 2026.
