Robert L Bradshaw International Airport updates nationals on potential delays, cancellations as Caribban Airspace sees safety closures

The Robert L Bradshaw Airport has cautioned nationals of potential disruptions and delays of flights operating from the airport on January 3, 2025. The announcement has come after the closure of the regional airspace due to security concerns after the US-backed Military action which was carried out in Venezuela.
The officials have shared that they are monitoring the situation which is ongoing in the regional airspace in the aftermath of the attack on Venezuela. The Robert L Bradshaw International Airport has clarified that the operations at the airport continue however, the airspace closure directive has led to several flights being cancelled and delayed.
The St. Christopher Air & Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA) has shared that there is an active Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM) issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This notice indicates that US-registered aircraft will be affected by cancellations due to security concerns arising from the region’s proximity to the conflict zone in Venezuela.
The officials have shared that the flights operated by Delta Air Lines and United Airlines, have already been cancelled at RLBIA. The officials have also been urged to make contact with their respective airlines to confirm any changes to the travel arrangements.
The travellers have also been urged to confirm their flight status prior to travelling to the airport. The St. Christopher Air & Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA) and officers of the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport (RLBIA) are constantly monitoring any escalation in the region and are constantly in touch with the regional and international partners in the region. The officials have shared that they will share any and all new developments in the matter as and when they arise.
The situation in Venezuela has also affected air arrivals and departures in other parts of the country. In addition to America based airlines being cancelled, the other regional organizations have also faced delays and cancellations due to escalated tensions in the regional airspace
