PM Terrance Drew Urges Nationals in North America to Stay Safe Amid Winter Storm Fern
The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew has issued a message for the nationals of St Kitts and Nevis who are living in North America and are affected by the Winter Storm Fern. The storm is currently affecting almost all parts of the United States of america and some parts of Canada.
The Prime Minister has urged the nationals of St Kitts and Nevis who are currently living in the affected areas to stay safe. Dr Drew has expressed that the safety of the people is his priority as some parts of the world are experiencing.
The Prime Minister has shared a post on his social media where he urged the people living in Canada and the United States to take all necessary precautions for their safety. He said that the people who are currently living in the affected areas have the government’s support.
He also shared that they hope that the family and loved of the nationals are also safe and secure. Dr Drew said that they are aware of the situation that the people in the affected parts of the world are currently facing. The Prime Minister pledged that they stand in solidarity with their nationals as they navigate this drastic time.
The Winter Storm Fern has already caused some disruptions with the flights and travel being cancelled for the duration of the passage of the winter storm. The Prime Minister said in his social media post that, as the winter snowstorm continues, we extend our sincere thoughts and concern.
The Prime Minister wants to ensure the safety of the people as the storm passes and icy conditions persist. As a result of the winter storm, jetblue had to cancel their flight from JFK International Airport to RLB international Airport on Sunday. The decision was taken in light of the conditions that the weather experts were seeing with respect to the Winter Storm Fern.
The jetblue flight was the only flight running between St Kitts and Nevis and United States of America on Sunday
