The Housing project in the Harry Phipps, Half Way Tree area is near its completion with the houses in the final stages of the construction. The update on the matter was shared by the Minister of Creative Economy, Agriculture, et al, Samal Duggins.
Duggins also serves as the Parliamentary representative for Constituency 4, where the housing project is currently in progress. The Minister claimed that the homes will be allocated to the people soon.
The Minister took a tour of the site where the construction of the homes is in progress and shared images. During his excursion, he highlighted that he is delighted to see the progress that has been made in the construction process.
The Minister has shared that the project is more special due to the fact that it was done the correct way for the ease of the people of the community and the island nation. He said that the community has also seen upgrades in the road infrastructure of the Harry Phipps area. The accessibility and the public utilities infrastructure has also improved along with the construction of the houses. The Minister said that the construction process for the Harrry Phipps Housing Project is special as they are not simply constructing structures. They are shaping communities.
The Constituency Representative for #4 has said that the project is being done with the aim of ensuring long term sustainability and growth of the community.
Duggins further added that it is important to see that the development in the constituency is not merely talk. He said that the results of the efforts of the community are visible within the community.
The Minister added that in addition to this ongoing housing project, the administration has also delivered homes to several landowners in the community. This has been done through the various projects and programmes in the NHC.
Minister Samal Duggins has confirmed that several families will be receiving their new homes from the government and NHC shortly as the construction is in its final stages
