St Kitts and Nevis Patriots extend sponsorship to Dominica Cricket Academy
The St Kitts and Nevis Patriots have donated a sum of EC$67,500 to the Dominica Cricket Academy. The officials have shared that the donation will help in improving the academy’s operations.
The donation will also help in the growth of cricket as a sport in the country. The Dominica news outlets have reported the donation. The officials have shared that the Minister of State in the Ministry of Culture, Youth, Sports and Community Development, Senator Oscar George has lauded the support and sponsorship.
The funds form a part of the annual sponsorship of the academy and will help grow the programme.
The Ministry of Culture, Youth, Sports and Community Development, Senator has applauded the people of the island. The senator also thanked the Patriots Director Mahesh Ramani for their generous contribution to the academy.
The Senator has further confirmed that the Dominica Cricket Academy is a premier cricket development program in Dominica. He added that they are dedicated to improving the cricketing talent in the country and promoting excellence in the sport.
The aim of the programme is to make sure they can identify and nurture young cricketers in the country. The academy is serving as a venue for providing technical training for the youngsters.
The youngsters will be given year round cricket mentorship from the experts in Dominica. The Academy has been responsible for the growth and success of several popular cricketers from Dominica including Alick Athanaze, Kavem Hodge, Stephen Pascal. All these cricketers have made the nature isle proud in the international cricket field.
The officials have shared that the academy has positively impacted the sports development in Dominica for years. The officials have shared that the patriots investment has been crucial for the yearly budget and sponsorships of the academy.
