Warner Park Sporting Complex is turning 100 years old next year in 2026. The Minister of Culture! creative economy and sports et al, Samal Duggins shared the development with the people of St Kitts and Nevis during the budget debate.
The Warner Park Sporting Complex has been a venue for world class moments of sports where the people of St Kitts and Nevis have seen both moments of victory and heartbreak. The sporting complex has also been witness to several world-class music concerts, cultural showcases and displays of national pride.
The 100 year anniversary will be celebrated on April 16, 2026 with the people from all over the island nation, the region and the world in attendance. The anniversary celebration calendar will be given during the next year.
A number of events will be scheduled to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the sporting complex during its historic 100th year. The Minister of Sports has shared that they will share the calendar of events by the end of January 2026. The Minister also shared that while the hundred year anniversary of the venue is coming which is a proof of Warner Park’s legacy, it also proof of the organization’s future.
During his 2026 budget address, Minister Samal Duggins highlighted that they are looking forward to a multipurpose facility, which houses the premier cricket, football, tennis, and netball facilities. The Minister said that he has the vision for a grand new Warner Park Sporting Facility.
In this vision, the Minister included a future state of the art indoor basketball facility, upgraded football stadium, indoor netball and volleyball facilities and tennis facilities. The Warner Park Stadium has been a long-standing venue for cultural engagement as well, which highlights its importance for the people of the island nation.
The Warner Park Stadium is one of the oldest landmarks of the country which has been contributing so significantly to the nation decades later.
