21 paticipants graduate The Cyber Nations Cyber Security Programme

The government  of St Kitts and Nevis has graduated the first group of youngsters in the Cyber Nations Cyber Security Programme. The participants received the certificates got the completion of the training on Thursday, November 27.

The officials have shared that the government has been dedicatedly working with partners to improve the digital capacity of the island nation. The administration wants to place the island nation as a leader in Cyber Security in the rest of the region. 

The officers have shared that they are gearing up for significant digital transformation in the country during the next year. The Cyber Nations Cyber Security Programme is being organized with the collaboration of St Kitts and Nevis and Canada. 

Canadian firm Protexxa is supporting the initiative and the first cohort of 21 has already completed the training programme. The training was hosted over the course of six months and the people were given theory and practical training. 

The officers have also shared that the training programme will help them in making sure that the youngsters of St Kitts and Nevis will be able to perform at par with the rest of the world. The youngsters will also get opportunities for employment after they have completed the training.

The workforce which has been constructed with this training programme will also help St Kitts and Nevis in going forward with their sustainable island state agenda with digital transformation being at its core. 

The organizations are working towards ensuring that St Kitts and Nevis is progressing towards becoming a sustainable, secure, and technologically advanced economy. The Prime Minister was also present at the event that marked the completion of the training for the first cohort of youngsters.

Dr Terrance Drew congratulated the people for the successful completion of the first cohort. The next edition of this training programme is expected to begin in 2026.
