Warren Buffett For Jamaica


CaribWorldNews, KINGSTON, Jamaica, Thurs. May 6, 2010: One of the world`s richest men, Warren Buffett, is set to touch down in Jamaica tomorrow, May 7th.

Jamaica Gleaner reports indicate that Buffett, chairman of Berkshire Hathaway Incorporated, will be the first to land his private jet at the new Boscobel Aerodrome in St. Mary around 10.30 a.m. on Friday.

The Airports Authority of Jamaica plans to host a small welcome/media party at the aerodrome for Buffet and his team.

Buffett is a whiz of an investor as well as an industrialist and philanthropist. He is one of the most successful investors in the world and often called the `legendary investor.

Buffett is also called the `Oracle of Omaha` or the `Sage of Omaha` and is noted for his adherence to the value investing philosophy and for his personal frugality despite his immense wealth. Buffett is also a notable philanthropist, having pledged to give away 85 percent of his fortune to the Gates Foundation.

He also serves as a member of the board of trustees at Grinnell College. Buffett currently is third on the list of the world`s richest people, according to Forbes Magazine.
