St Kitts Tourism Authority attends FCCA to improve cruise connections

The Tourism Authority of St Kitts has been working with the international partmers to bring more cruise partnerships to the island. The Tourism authority attended the 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐧 & 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐅𝐂𝐂𝐀) 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.

During this conference, the tourism stakeholders of the country had the opportunity to interact with the other cruise and tourism stakeholders. The Tourism Authority has shared some images from the event on their social media.

The officials have shared that it is important for the people of the island nation are highly dependant on revenues and business generated by the tourism sector, through airlift and cruise. As such it is their responsibility to make sure that the nation can emerge as a strong tourism base.

The tourism stakeholders met with the major cruise partners from all the major brands including the Carnival Corporation, MSC, Disney, Princess Cruises, Holland America and more. The cruise ships from most of these cruise lines have been visiting the island of nevis for several years.

The aim of this meeting was to improve the connection and enhance the relationships that exist between them. The delegation of the tourism authority which attended the FCCA conference consisted of several high-level officers.

The attendants included the CEO of St. Christopher Air & Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA) Adeola Moore, CEO of St. Kitts Urban Development Corporation (UDC), Kayrecia Nero, Deputy CEO of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority (SKTA), Melnecia Marshall.

The organization has shared that the delegation also included the tour operators from the country. The Ministry has shared that it is important for the country to have a strong relationship with international partners in order to maintain a respectable position in the international tourism space.

The arrival of more and more cruise ships to the island nation has helped in reaffirming St Kitts as a premier cruise destination. The organization has shared that the country has been ranked highly in terms of cruise tourism.
