
St Kitts welcomed the world’s largest cruise ship, Star of the Seas to Port Zante early morning on Wednesday. The cruise ship docked on the port early in the morning and was welcomed with significant fanfare from the Ministry of Tourism officials.
The Minister of Tourism was present at the welcome ceremony for the cruise ship along with some other stakeholders. The Minister highlighted that the members of the tourism sector were delighted to be part of this major milestone for the country.
The inaugural call of the Star of the Seas, World’s Largest Cruise Ship to St Kitts is a positive sign for the cruise readiness of the country. The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis was also present at the welcome ceremony.
Further, the attendants also included the leaders from the Ministry of Tourism, the St. Kitts Tourism Authority, the St. Christopher Air & Sea Ports Authority, and Delisle Walwyn & Co. Ltd
The representatives of Royal Caribbean International, the parent company for the biggest cruise ship in the world were also present at the welcome ceremony for the inaugural call. At the official ceremony, Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, et al, Marsha Henderson presented the representatives from Royal Caribbean International with some souvenirs.
The government information service, SKNIS, has shared some images from the welcome ceremony, highlighting the significance of the ceremony for the creation of better cruising facilities in the region.
St Kitts and Nevis has welcomed their first inaugural call for the 2025 cruise season, highlighting that they are working diligently to bring more tourism prospects to the people of the island.
The Ministry of Tourism has been working double time to bring more exposure to the St Kitts Tourism Product. The St Kitts Tourism Authority has been conducting showcases to attract more and more people to the shores of the twin islands, putting the spotlight on the nation’s tremendous offerings.
