Talks between Greek prime minister Alexis Tsipras and his French and German counterparts yielded no real breakthrough last night, though all sides pledged to intensify efforts to find a solution to the Greek impasse. Despite indications earlier in the day that negotiations on Greece would not take place on the fringes of Wednesday’s EU-Latin America summit, Mr Tsipras met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French president Francois Hollande last night on the summit of EU-Latin American leaders in Brussels.
